Be Peaceful Myanmar ( Nyein-chan par say Maynmar Pyay)

After constantly reading relating current battles between Myanmar troops and Kokang rebels near Laukkai, capital of the self-administered Kokang zone, Northern Shan State. This week’s fighting was led by Phone Kya Shin, once the leader of the Kokang rebels, he split off several years ago and now heads a renegade faction. His men attacked military stations with the objective of capturing Laukai (500 miles) northeast of the country’s biggest city, Yangon. As far  as I understand the whole situations, the problems have been latent or in inactive state for many years after signing cease-fire.

REquesting witness for Koh Tao murder case

Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo, the two migrant workers, are accused of raping and murdering Hannah Witheridge, 23, and murdering David Miller, 24, on the holiday island on Sept 15, 2014. They face the death penalty if convicted. They have said they are innocent of rape and murder charges, and that police tortured them to force confessions from them, which they later recanted.
Diplomats from Britain and Myanmar raised concerns about the Thai investigation, and London sent a police team to Koh Tao as observers in October, 2014.
Thailand has agreed in principle to allow a team of observers from Britain and Myanmar to observe judicial procedures in the Koh Tao murder case, which has sparked a barrage of media criticism in both countries.
The court rejected a defence request to allow witnesses who believe they are at risk to give their testimony in Bangkok, saying the Samui courthouse was safe.
At present, the fundraiser is set up by the Migrant Worker Rights Network (MWRN), a migrant run organization with more than 3,000 fee-paying Myanmar migrant members, to assist to cover costs of lawyers and a support team to ensure a fair trial for the accused in the Koh Tao case. Essential costs for the accused in prison shall also be supported. And the witnesses are requested if anyone can help for the Koh Tao murder case.

Election for homeland

The following video of Mount Popa and ancient city Bagan is a reason for remembrance as a visitor who went there for many times with my family. The place is really the most peaceful and  astonishing land scape though many news regarding protection and security concerns for displaced community; refugees who have fled from armed conflict. Student demonstrators, monks, different ethnic groups authority, politicians and military leaders dealing with negotiations, serious disputes , cease fires and violent crimes occupy in such a beautiful country.
I wish stability and harmony for the year 2015 before the long-awaited election and also wish for the leaders of our own choice "freely and fairly" with respect and tolerance for diversity.
